The need of having strategy in a world with high volatile changes

This question emerged today in my mind.

I've been trying to define, no, not to define, but to try to explain some of my human attributes, and this is how I see myself today, or better say, part of myself, because I am not only that:

  1. I am asking wright questions - important
  2. I understand to some extent global reality - or better say, trends. I am not so cut from the rest of the world. I realize volatility, change, trying, evolutionary approach, no clear vision - ways used in today's world, which are tried to be used to solve some problems and get some gain or profit.
  3. In some less extent I reveal hidden causes, or at least I assume that they must exist.
  4. I am observing one phenomenon from multiple angles - one angle, opposite angle and neutral angle, as far as I am capable to.
  5. I am aware that any conclusion which I made can not be final conclusion but maybe some hypothesis on which I can rely for some time, until it becomes not-valid, when I need to establish another one.
  6. I am trying to distinguish facts from opinions.
  7. I recognize multi-variability of some phenomenon, although I am not able to say which are all variables, and how they are influencing the phenomena.
  8. And what surprised me - even in cases of high volatility, uncertainty I recognize the need of having strategy and having strategic answer. This looks contradictory - high volatility vs. strategy - how strategy can function in cases of high uncertainty? I do not know the answer but some presentiment or hunch is telling me that if the uncertainty is growing, also grows the need of having strategic steps which need to be taken. I can not explain why is that, and maybe I am wrong about it.
  9. What I am trying to use as a tool is applying models from one context to another. For example, I've been thinking about applying chess model from the chess context to strategic games of global players - one simple example. I still did not do to much on this approach, but I have a sense that this approach can yield very interesting and not expecting results.
